In many villages, economic opportunities are limited. By training and employing local residents in every step of the weaving process—from material preparation to finishing—we create a thriving hub of activity within the communities themselves. This allows artisans to earn family-sustaining wages without leaving their homes, bringing lasting economic growth right where it's needed the most.

Most of our women artisans have looms installed right in their homes. In households with more than one-woman artisan, we provide additional looms to ensure each has the opportunity to work. This double employment approach not only boosts household incomes but also expands access to work within the community.
Education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering women to lead independent, fulfilling lives. Yet in many remote areas, artisans are unable to complete even their primary education. Our short term educational program bridges this gap—offering foundational learning in literacy, numeracy, hygiene, and life skills, helping women reclaim their right to learn and grow.
We actively encourage our artisans to invest in their children’s education, believing it to be one of the most transformative steps toward lasting change.

Rug weaving does more than provide women with jobs—it empowers them to stand as equals in socio-economic matters, no longer dependent on male counterparts for financial security or decision-making.
